Albany Tennis Academy

Albany Tennis Academy (ATA) is situated 450km south of Perth and is one of the largest tennis academies in Country WA.

ATA was formed in 2000 when David Kerr moved back to Albany from Perth and set up Saturday morning tennis lessons for junior players. From 10 kids in the first term to 45 the next, ATA junior numbers started to grow as did the need for more days of tennis.

Within 12 months a 2 hr a week part time hobby turned into a full time career with over 600 junior players per week participating in a huge array of programs including, tennis in schools, junior coaching, squads, tadpole tennis, private lessons and more.

ATA now not only runs programs in Albany but also in neighbouring towns Mt Barker, Kendenup and Denmark.

Important Message

We thrive on the fact we offer premium coaching services for all ages of players and all standards of players.

As well as taking tadpole tennis classes for under 10s we offer 3 levels of squads, private lessons, group coaching, junior club, fitness classes and a very successful high performance program.

Over the last 2 seasons we have had 3 junior players (12yrs and 14yrs old) come through our High Performance program to represent WA at various tennis events including Bruce Cup and Foundation Cup and we have more juniors in our junior high performance who will also be there in a year or 2!

We have also seen a number of adults get coaching and really improve their game.
